Why did you start Home Truths?
We launched Home Truths in 2011 as an extension to the business that we already had in property, providing search services. It was a natural extension and an exciting opportunity. We already had an office with a shop front in Coppull and at that time there were no other estate agents in that area. We started out as a Lettings agent and due to customer demand launched the sales department shortly after.
What do you do at Home Truths?
As well as running the business as company director’s, John carries out the valuations accompanies potential buyers on viewings and works hard to ensure that all the vendors are happy.
Why are you proud of Home Truths?
Home Truths is a family business, it’s our future and we have built it up from nothing. We are extremely proud of Home Truths because it is an estate agent with a difference. We constantly receive overwhelmingly good feedback from our customers and extremely high levels of repeat custom, which was one of our main goals when we started out. We also have a happy team and we all enjoy coming to work. Long may it continue!
What does Home Truths stand for?
At Home Truths we believe in keeping it simple and making it easy. We know that buying or selling, or letting or renting a home won't always be straightforward. It’s all about integrity, and when we enter into a contract with a landlord or a vendor, our aim is to achieve all that we set out to do against the parameters we set.

We want to build lasting, ongoing relationships with our customers. Our team will look after you every step of the way, so that when you return to us in the future, you know that you are in safe hands and that you are working with a team that cares.
How do you describe to friends and family what you do?
Our young son Henry often asks us what we have been doing at work. When we tell him that we’ve been working very hard he says: “But you don’t work at all, all you do is show people round houses…”
What makes you smile at work?
As a team we do have a lot of fun, there is a pleasantness about the team and the business. I believe that this comes from the relationships with our customers and with the team and that keeps the smile on my face.
