Dazzling UK is a friendly and professional cleaning services business based in Euxton, Lancashire. Business owner Darren Herbert, first started Dazzling just three years ago, from the boot of his car. Darren had gained invaluable experience from working at the renowned Adelphi Hotel in Liverpool as the Head of Housekeeping for several years, where he managed a large team of cleaning staff, ensuring that all the public areas and rooms were cleaned and maintained to the highest of standards. With years of housekeeping experience under his belt and a personal love of cleaning and organisation, Darren was in the perfect position to launch his own cleaning business; Dazzling UK.
One year after the launch, Dazzling UK was becoming too busy for just one person and in 2015, Darren took on his first employee and his first van, no longer working out of the boot of his car. A year later, from continued growth and Dazzling UK’s growing reputation, Darren could open his first offices, purchase additional vehicles. Today he has a team of eight, police checked, professional cleaners.

Dazzling UK owner Darren Herbert tells us why he launched Dazzling, shares some of his favourite memories and the plans he has for 2017:
Why did you decide to start Dazzling UK?
I am a neat and methodical person; my friends and family often have a laugh and a joke at my expense, due to my need to keep everything clean and in its place. So, it always made perfect sense to me that my vocation was to do what I love…and that’s cleaning!
I knew that with my love for cleaning, my experience, and my desire to always go above and beyond to give the best service, that it made perfect sense to launch Dazzling UK!
What does Dazzling UK stand for?
Dazzling UK stands for professionalism, quality of service, reliability, and we’re affordable.
What do you most enjoy about running Dazzling UK?
It may sound strange to many people but cleaning really is a hobby for me, I live and breathe it. I love meeting new people and no one day is ever the same, but overall I most enjoy getting praise and recognition from our customers and being able to pass this on to the team. There is something special in knowing that as a team we are all doing a good job and are appreciated.
What time do you start work and finish work?
Our official hours of work are 8.30am – 6pm, but we often work through the night when we are cleaning our commercial properties. My aim is to become a twenty-four-hour cleaning business that operates seven days a week, watch this space!
What has been your favourite memory so far?
I have two memories that really stand out. The first was last year when I opened the doors to my first office. I was so proud to walk through the doors that day and I knew that I was building a successful business. I’m enjoying every minute.
The second memory is when we received feedback from one of our customers, after the team, had been in and cleaned her house. She sent us a card stating that we had ‘changed her life’. It was great to hear and if we can make a difference for people then we know we are doing something right!
What plans do you have for 2017?
Our plans for 2017 are to continue to grow. I want to take on a manager as soon as possible to free up some of my time and this will enable me to take the business to the next level. I also want to grow the carpet cleaning service we provide as we are extremely affordable and provide an unrivalled service.
Ultimately, I want to continue to grow the reputation and brand of Dazzling UK in the area and ensure that when people are looking for someone to clean their home or business that they call us.

What is the most used service and why do you think that is?
The most popular service is the domestic property cleaning service and this area has grown substantially over the last few years from recommendations and referrals. We want to continue to grow this side of the business and would like to grow the commercial property cleaning side to the same level, too.
What do you love most about the area you operate in?
I live in Croston and our offices are in Euxton, so I am lucky enough to spend time in two lovely parts of Lancashire. I love the countryside, the friendly people that we meet every day and the diverseness of the properties in the area. One day we can be cleaning a quaint cottage and the next a three-storey town house, the diversity certainly keep it interesting.
What do you like to do on your day off?
I have dogs so I love to take them out for walks in the country. I also love eating out and we regularly enjoy some of the great restaurants in the area. Favourites are The Elephant in Euxton, San Marco’s in Much Hoole and The Olive Tree in Preston, we are lucky to have so many great eating places to choose from.
