Oliver Valentine has passed his Apprenticeship in Business Administration, from Runshaw College, during the COVID-19 pandemic, and now becomes a full-time member of the Home Truths team!
Home Truths brought Oliver on board as an Apprentice in Business Administration in 2019 and all the team were delighted to celebrate Oliver’s achievement in completing his Apprenticeship to become a full-time member of the team, during these, the most difficult of times.
As an Apprentice Search Agent for Home Truths sister business, Professional Search Services, Oliver has been busy developing a range of essential business skills, including liaising with law, conveyancing firms and local county councils across the country, booking and arranging searches, and more recently, Oliver has been training to become a Letting Agent, for Home Truths, to assist the busy Lettings team.
Oliver said: “I had been looking for a Business Administration Apprenticeship once I’d finished my studies at college and as soon as I had my interview with Home Truths Director, John Ascroft, in which I had the role and concept explained to me, I knew that it was a good fit for what I wanted to do.
“I really like dealing with local solicitors and conveyancing firms and I feel I’ve built a good relationship with many of them. I really enjoyed the learning process and I still find myself learning new things to help me improve every day.
“The pandemic has reaffirmed that we should not take things for granted, whether it be your job, your friends or your family, as this situation has proven you never really know what could happen. I am especially grateful to have completed my Apprenticeship and to have my certification, during such unprecedented times.
“Finishing my final task and receiving the certificate made me very proud and thankful to my colleagues at Home Truths, and to Runshaw College, who have all supported me throughout the entire process and to John Ascroft, who gave me the chance, to begin with.
John Ascroft, Home Truths Director, said: “Oliver has been a real asset to the business. At Home Truths, we believe that apprentices should have a real job which benefits the business in a number of different ways as well as providing invaluable experience for the apprentice too.
“Oliver has brought a mature and professional approach to the role, he is able to work independently and he has established excellent relationships with customers. We are very pleased that he has now taken up a full-time position with us!”
