What do you do for Home Truths?
I am the Mortgage and Protection adviser for Home Truths.
Why do you think that people should come to Home Truths to sell or let their home?
I not only work with Home Truths as their chosen Mortgage Broker, but they are also my chosen Estate Agents. I have found Home Truths to be extremely professional, and they really do support you through your property sale. Their communication is clear and precise, and they always answer their phones promptly, making certain those sales opportunities are attended to with great effectiveness.
Home Truths is one of the best Estate Agents I have ever had the privilege of working with, their team is warm, welcoming and helpful in all areas.
When you're not working for Home Truths what do you do in your business?
I run a firm of Mortgage and Protection Brokers - GRD Financial Services.
What do you love about living in the local area?
I live in the local village of Mawdesley, but am originally from Eccleston. I have seen the village’s transition from the sleepy industrial era of weaving mills to the hustle and bustle of today. This local area is wonderful to raise children, retire to, or commute from. It offers a wide variety of activities, but also provides great access and routes to major towns and cities. The motorway network is just on our doorstep, with links to Manchester, Preston, Wigan, Chorley and Liverpool.
The villages have grown, but retain their historic beginnings. They have stunning historic buildings, halls and estates, surrounded by untouched landscapes where you can enjoy country strolls.
This area is one of the most beautiful areas in Lancashire and I am very proud to be part of such a thriving community, which still holds its community spirit.
Who would be your three dream dinner guests and why?
Winston Churchill - "All great things are simple and many can be expressed in a single word, freedom, justice, honour, duty, mercy, hope."
Stephen Fry – "You can tickle the minds the minds of others, you can seduce minds of others, but don’t try to own the minds of others.”
Dolly Parton – "The way I see it if you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain."
The reason I would choose these people is that their words resonate with me. They all have their own opinions and would encourage a great dinner debate. They appear to believe in community, people, and must be great listeners, as their words cannot just come from speaking they must have listened to learn how to communicate so effectively.
These people are hard-working, active and don’t rest on their laurels. I feel that our company lives by what we believe and community and family are at the centre of everything we do.
