Sunshine and warmth heralded the start of 2022 across the UK as the property market ended 2021 on a high.
After the unprecedented market conditions of 2020 and 2021, calmer weather is currently forecast for the property market in 2022 – not that we are seeing that currently. Read our Housing Market Update for January 2022 to find out more.

Housing Market Update January 2022 - What do the figures say?
It has been an energetic start to the New Year, resolutions are commonplace and for many this can relate to their property.
Rightmove report that valuation requests from homeowners were 19% higher compared to the previous year as 2021 drew to a close.
This may be an indication that the supply/demand imbalance that epitomized the market in 2021 could start to ease. The Bank of England’s decision to raise interest rates for the first time in over three years in December to 0.25% is unlikely to cause many to reconsider a future move.
The huge success of the vaccination program means that we start 2022 in a very different place to 2021.
We have had a busy month of valuations and have listed some beautiful homes with many more to come. Most properties are selling within 7 days significantly above the asking price.
We always do our very best to meet the needs of our clients. Our knowledge of the local market, realistic valuations, competitive fees and bespoke marketing campaigns are instrumental to this. The result is a consistent highly positive effect on the number of enquiries per property. Which in turn results in maximising value and successful sales.
